David Cuen is a Mexican-British writer of fantasy inspired by folklore, myth and the strange pressure points where everyday life meets the impossible. His work is drawn to forgotten stories, inherited objects, marginal histories and the quiet miracles people carry without naming them.
Before turning his focus more fully to fiction, David worked for over eight years at the BBC as a journalist and editor, then at Instagram, where he led global storytelling efforts. That background in memory, media and narrative continues to shape the way he thinks about stories, identity and the emotional weight of our choices.
David lives in Madrid and writes in both English and Spanish. When he is not writing, he reads widely, runs, and spends time with his four dogs.
